As you may know by now I haven't been on in a few weeks because my pc broke down. I put off fixing it because I was moving and stuff so I just didn't feel like dealing with it.
I've given it a lot of thought as to what I should do though. I'm not tech wiz so I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. It's about 6 years old now, never really had issues except that the fans aren't working as well and one of them definitely doesnt work anymore and I replaced my video card last year.
Here are my options...
1. Hire a guy to pick up my pc and tell me whats wrong with it and replace several parts. Problem is I'm going to end up paying more in labor than for the parts thenselves.
2. Somebody can maybe help with custom building a pc for me (within a set price range) and I build or or have somebody build it. And I can sell off the usable parts to a company that does that kind of thing.
3. I buy a premade pc from a store. And salvage my pc. I was looking at one at a local store for 1000$. It's ASUS brand with an nvidia card...2 companies I have a lot of trust in. Ideally though I'd like something in maybe the 700$ range but might be tough.
Give me your thoughts, any help would be great!
I really want to reuse certain components of my pc but it's so outdated I fear that it might just cause me some problems short term.
