I started us up an Extra Life Team for this year. It won't be up and running for a bit but I thought it might be fun to do as a group.
For the unaware, Extra Life is a charity that helps raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to raise money for gaming equipment to help keep the kids happy and entertained during their hospital stays. In 2014 they raised over $6 million for the kids.
The first time you guys may have heard my name on the podcast was my asking to get a little coverage for my campaign. I wasn't the only DOTPer who participated. Our fearless leader Ezmrcz and Cpt. Silverfox both helped out their local hospital. I rose $390 for Nationwide Children's Hospital and played under the Giant Bomb banner.
I have a personal stake in this cause in particular is my son was twice a patient for broken bones when he was younger. They took phenomenal care of him and to this day I've not seen a bill from that place. A few of my good friends have had the same experience with the hospital as well.
You have the option to play for the hospital that is local to you or one that you may have a connection to.
This year's campaign is not quite up and running so I'm not sure if you're able to sign up now, the team's name is Defense of the Patience on their website. I'll provide a link when I have one to get us a running crew together and help some kids out when they need it the most.

I did this a couple years back. Unfortunately, I couldn't this year because of my hectic work schedule and no vacation days since I just started a new job. I'll definitely be participating next year, so you can count me in for sure.

Excellent. For my campaign I'm not going to do it all in the fall, gonna try to spread it out a bit.
